IE LG Dishwasher Error Code
DIYDIY
What it means
United States
Water inlet error: the water level stayed too low (insufficient water) 30 seconds to about 10 minutes after fill began, so the dishwasher alarms. Causes include a water outage, a kinked/pinched/torn inlet hose, a closed water valve, a clogged inlet valve filter, or very low water pressure.
United Kingdom
Water inlet error: the code appears when a specified amount of water is not supplied to the tub. Causes include a water outage, a bent inlet hose, or a closed water inlet valve.
What to check first
- Check that water flows from the kitchen and bathroom taps.
- Straighten any kinked, pinched, bent, or torn inlet hose.
- Open the water supply valve and the shut-off valve under the sink (turn counterclockwise).
- After recent plumbing work, confirm both valves are open.
- In winter, thaw a frozen hose by wrapping it in a warm wet towel.
When to call service
If water is available everywhere and all valves are open but IE persists, a technician inspection (e.g., inlet valve/filter) is required - contact support or the installer.
