IE LG Dishwasher Error Code

DIY

DIY

What it means

United States

Water inlet error: the water level stayed too low (insufficient water) 30 seconds to about 10 minutes after fill began, so the dishwasher alarms. Causes include a water outage, a kinked/pinched/torn inlet hose, a closed water valve, a clogged inlet valve filter, or very low water pressure.

United Kingdom

Water inlet error: the code appears when a specified amount of water is not supplied to the tub. Causes include a water outage, a bent inlet hose, or a closed water inlet valve.

What to check first

  1. Check that water flows from the kitchen and bathroom taps.
  2. Straighten any kinked, pinched, bent, or torn inlet hose.
  3. Open the water supply valve and the shut-off valve under the sink (turn counterclockwise).
  4. After recent plumbing work, confirm both valves are open.
  5. In winter, thaw a frozen hose by wrapping it in a warm wet towel.

When to call service

If water is available everywhere and all valves are open but IE persists, a technician inspection (e.g., inlet valve/filter) is required - contact support or the installer.
